I’m a trainee Gestalt Psychotherapist, with experience and interest in LGBTQIA+, Neurodiversity and Creative Arts. I have just completed my training at the Welsh Psychotherapy Institute and am working towards accreditation with UKCP, so I am still currently registered as a UKCP trainee. I am also awaiting BACP registration. I have professional indemnity insurance and current clear disclosure and barring (CRB).

I started my adult life as a musician, playing the saxophone before moving on to Social Work. I have been a registered Social Worker for over 10 years, working in mental health and crisis teams, child protection, learning disability and adoption and fostering. I now maintain my social work registration, but primarily focus on my psychotherapy practice. I currently have both a private psychotherapy practice and take referrals from charities and employee assistance schemes.

I am trained in Gestalt Psychotherapy. Gestalt Psychotherapy is the exploration of being; profoundly seeing, feeling and experiencing the wholeness of who we are.

I really enjoy working with clients to explore how we experience, feel and interpret. Together, we can explore the wholeness of who you are through our therapeutic relationship with one another.

Being creative, I use imagery and the creative arts at times when words are hard to find or emotions difficult to describe. I have many other approaches we can explore and we can take the time to find out exactly what works best for us together.

I’m very much a part of the work too, so you won’t find my approach to be formal or stiff, nor will I seek to diagnose or tell you what to do. The work happens between us, in a meaningful dialogic relationship.
